Our brain and eyes work together in mysterious ways. By studying optical illusions we will analyze how we perceive different visual stimulants. An understanding of the workings of optical illusions will lead to the study of “Op Art”, an art movement from the 1960s. Notice the many connections between theories of perception and how famous artists utilize our visual perception to create works of “Op Art”.

There are endless types of optical illusions, so the techniques in which we will focus on are:
