Conclusion !Opti Pa Looza!

“Man is determined to see things his own way. His way is sometimes imaginative, sometimes logical- and sometimes wrong.”
- John Rowan Wilson’s “The Mind”

Throughout our Opti Pa Looza journey, we have made connections between optical illusions and art. The connections show how our perception of art is influenced by math, psychology and other sciences that reflect inner workings of our mind, which we see as playing tricks on the eye.

Color, movement, three-dimensionality, and double images are techniques used in works of art to affect our visual perception. Now you know and understand various works of art and artists and what each has contributed to the art world. The goal is to open your eyes to a different way of thinking and seeing through illusions. If your final work of art demonstrates one or even more of the optical illusion techniques, the goal of this instruction will have been achieved.
I hope you enjoyed stimulating your mind and eyes. I also hope you have a deeper appreciation for artworks, such as Octavio’s, Escher’s, Vasarely, Riley, Morellet, Noland, Soto, Anuszkiewic, Albers, and Beever, which have all used the concepts of optical illusions to create visual stimulations.

Do Not Worry! The Opti Pa Looza fun does not stop here. There are more artists that have used similar concepts to create eye and mind stimulating works of art.
